Will I get this amount when I sell?
No. The calculator shows the metal value at today's price. Buyers deduct costs and margin, and collector or craft value is not included. It makes no offer and neither advises selling nor against it.
Where do I find the fineness?
As a hallmark, a small stamped number: 333, 585 or 750 for gold, 800 or 925 for silver, often inside a ring or on the clasp. It states thousandths of pure metal: 585 means 58.5 %.
Where does the price come from?
From the market data OWNAMIC also uses for linked precious metals, per troy ounce in euros and converted to grams. The time stamp is shown below the price. With an account your piece is linked to the price and revalued.
