Frequently asked questions
Does OWNAMIC calculate my pension?
No. The amount of your pension is in your annual pension statement or comes from your pension provider's own calculator. You enter it and OWNAMIC works with it, so every figure stays your own.
Can I use it to see whether retiring at 63 is worth it?
Yes, as a comparison: calculate once with the earlier start and the lower pension from your statement, and once with the regular date. You then see both gaps side by side. Whether you are entitled to an earlier pension and how large the reduction is, your pension provider tells you.
Are my figures stored?
No. The calculator runs without an account, and your figures are gone when you close the page. Only when you register do you keep your data in OWNAMIC, hosted in Germany.
A description, not advice. The calculator works only with your own figures, without inflation, returns or taxes. It does not calculate pension entitlements and does not replace pension, financial or lending advice.
