The household budget app with AI capture and traffic-light limits – forget Excel.
Scan the receipt, done: OWNY, the AI assistant, records every item. Set a limit per kind of spending – the bar changes colour as soon as it gets tight, not only on your bank statement.
Runs in the browser on your phone, Windows PC and Mac – nothing to install, and as an app on your home screen if you like.
- No bank connection: import your statement as CSV or PDF
- Stored in Germany
- Your data is never sold
- Data protection

How it works – pick a step
Scan a receipt, keep a household book. One photo, every line.
One till slip, photographed once: OWNY reads all 28 lines with price and quantity, the purchase is assigned to the current account and lands in the household book – without typing a single line.
From the receipt to the household book. Recorded in the real app.
A real sample receipt: the amounts are the printed prices. Logo, address, tax and receipt numbers and names are blurred.
A household book you actually keep.

-
Photograph the receipt
OWNY records every item with its price and kind of spending such as fruit or cheese – you only confirm. Without typing a single line.
-
Budgets with traffic lights
Set a limit per kind of spending. The bar changes colour as soon as it gets tight – not only on next month’s statement.
-
Statements without a bank connection
Upload your statement as CSV, PDF or photo – from any bank. Rent, electricity and subscriptions become running contracts.
-

Frequently asked questions
Is the household book free?
You try OWNAMIC free for 14 days, without payment details; the trial ends by itself. After that the Starter plan costs 3,49 € a month, Basic with more AI balance for receipts a little more. There is no advertising or data selling in return.
Which banks and file formats can I import?
Bank statements as a CSV or PDF file (up to 10 MB, CSV up to 2,000 rows) or as a photo or screenshot. OWNY reads the bookings, whichever bank they come from. There is no direct bank connection: you decide what you upload. Save an Excel spreadsheet as CSV first; CAMT and MT940 are not supported.
Can we keep a household book together as a couple?
Yes, in two ways. You share one account – then you both see and change everything; share your access only with people you trust. Or each of you has an account of your own and you bring your objects and contracts into a shared space (up to five people). If the person who created the space includes the financial data, you see expenses and the overall picture together there – each of you can only change your own entries.
Can I bring my household book over from Excel?
Yes. Save your spreadsheet in Excel as a CSV file and upload it: OWNY reads the rows as bookings – whether it is a bank statement or your own list. Recurring payments such as rent or subscriptions become running contracts. You see every recognised booking before you save it.
