Does OWNY identify minerals in a photo?
OWNY suggests which mineral it might be. That does not replace a reliable identification – minerals are easy to confuse. You confirm every suggestion, and you can have a dealer confirm their identification on the piece.
Can I record fossils too?
Yes. You record fossils the same way: with photos, locality and layer in the description and provenance in the object history. Collections of their own keep them apart from your minerals.
Can I bring over my existing collection list?
Yes, as a CSV or PDF file: OWNY reads the list and you check every entry before you save. Save an Excel list as CSV first.
